ABOUT
Lida Everhart is a photographer, director and producer working in Brooklyn, NY.
As a producer, her work spans short films, documentaries, music videos, and web series. She is drawn to projects that center queerness, taboos, and hybrid-genres. Her work has brought her from small studios to sleep away camp to the curtains of an off-broadway production.
Her most recent short film producing venture, "Benchwarmer", stars Rupaul's Drag Race alum Alexis Michelle and is in post-production.
As a Director, Lida loves to explore the intersection of fantasy and reality. Fantasy is sometimes vampires, evil forests, and animal party guests. At other times, fantasy is an uneasy promise of success in the art world, or the facade of a perfect relationship.
Her thesis film Something's Wrong With Kit explores eating disorders in young women through a horror-driven analogy. It was created with help from the Andrea Montoni Catalyst Film Fund and is currently in the festival circuit, screening at festivals like Boston Short Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, Chattanooga, Junk Dump Magazine Film Festival at the Museum of the Moving Image, and more.
Her other notable directorial work, Graysen's Room, was awarded the Singular Vision Award presented by BlackMagic at the Emerson Film Festival.
